Parameter debugging method

* VO: Detection level output. When a person or an object is detected to move, it outputs a high level for about 1 second. Low level when there is no object moving.
* GND: Ground.
* VCC: Power supply. The version with LDO is powered by a 5V power supply.

1. Sensitivity debugging method A

Sensitivity debugging can be realized by changing the magnification of the comparator, the default is (1M/20K)*(1M/10K)=5000 times. The test sensitivity can be adjusted by changing the resistance of R11 or R6, the larger the multiple, the more sensitive. It is recommended that users do not adjust the sensitivity higher than 5000 times.

2. Block time debugging method

A1. Blocking time refers to the time after the current detection is completed and the output level returns to 0 level until the next detection takes effect. This time can be adjusted by changing the resistance of R8.

A2. The current blocking time is about 1 second, corresponding to R8=47k. It is not recommended that R8 is less than 39k. If the blocking time is too small, the module will be easily triggered by interference. An excessively large R8 may cause the module to fail to report.

3. Trigger delay adjustment

A1. The high level maintenance time after triggering is the maintenance time for the module to output 3.3V high level after detecting a moving object.

A2. The output delay time can be adjusted by changing the value of R14. The corresponding relationship is shown in the following table:

Application scenario reference

1. Light sense application

Hang 3 meters high to measure the sensing range of the module when the human body moves below.

The microwave module has different sensing ranges for positive and tangential movement. The boundary is particularly obvious. The module will be more sensitive to radial movement, and for tangential movement, since the radial component relative to the radar module will be reduced, it will be slightly less sensitive to tangential movement.

1. Smart home appliance induction

The radar module faces the human body and is placed at a height of about 1.2 meters to measure the sensing range of people moving in front of the radar module. This scene is mostly used in smart home appliance sensing, access control panel triggering and other fields. The reference FOV measures the coverage at a distance of 5 meters from the radar module.
